The Apollo Proton Cancer Center (APCC) in Chennai, India, is a pioneer in advanced cancer care, offering holistic treatment for individuals battling cancer. With a team of highly skilled clinicians, medical physicists, and therapists, APCC has successfully treated nearly 2,000 patients, demonstrating expertise and excellent patient outcomes. The center treats a wide variety of cases including moving targets, complex techniques like Cranio-spinal irradiation (CSI), mucosal sparing PT in head & neck cancers among others. The center has well-established practice and expertise in treating very young children under sedation. APCC has a well-organized academic and clinical research structure, fostering a culture of innovation and evidence-based practice. Since 2020, the center has conducted a well-attended Annual Proton Practicum, attracting hundreds of attendees both in person and online. About the course

Since 2020, the centre has conducted a well-attended Annual Proton Practicum, attracting hundreds of attendees both in person and online. Trainees at APCC receive hands-on clinical experience under the guidance of seasoned professionals and exposure to a diverse range of complex cases. This practicum should be of value to all practicing Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists. The 6th Annual Apollo Proton Practicum will mainly focus on unique physical/biological aspects and uncertainties related to proton beam therapy; global perspectives on patient selection for proton beam therapy, clinical workflow for proton beam therapy & proton planning including class solutions for some of the common clinical sites
